In the heart of downtown Cape Charles, Bayside Dreamer Unit A is a modern loft style apartment with all the comforts of a 4 star hotel suite! Slightly larger than its Unit B counterpart next door. Meticulously renovated and designed with the finest appointments, the Bayside Dreamer Unit A offers a delightful respite right in the heart of historic Cape Charles. The adjacent kitchenette has a stylish Serena & Lilly barstool, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for those times when you just want to stay in instead of hitting the local restaurants and pubs. Beyond the kitchenette is a king bedroom with super comfortable mattress and Henry Link furnishings. There is an additional space behind the apartment that houses a washer and dryer shared with the neighboring suite. The queen sized sofa bed in the living room allows for an additional guest or two for a modest additional charge. The bathroom is modern with a walk in shower that has both a handheld shower head and a ceiling mounted rain shower head. The bathroom also features a heated floor. Sanitized bed and bath linens are provided but bring your own beach towels. Step out the front door, turn right and in less than 100 feet you will be on Mason Avenue, the main commercial street in Cape Charles with many specialty shops and eateries. As a matter of fact, Kelly’s Gingernut Pub is right at the intersection and Brown Dog Ice Cream is less than a half block away if you turn left at the intersection. If you turn right on Mason, it’s a short two blocks to the uncrowded Cape Charles Beach on the Chesapeake Bay. There is space behind the apartment to store beach chairs, wash off sandy feet annd hang beach towels to dry. Cape Charles is golf cart friendly and they are great fun for zipping around. Cape Charles is a golf cart friendly town and there are several sources of golf cart rentals from 4 to 8 seaters. Everyone finds it great fun to get around town in the golf carts even though it is possible to walk to everything. Our town faces west across the Chesapeake Bay and we are noted for our magnificent sunsets that rival those in Key West. Charter fishing is available as well as guided kayak trips including a winery kayak tour. Kayaks are also available for rent as well as beach cruiser bikes and jet skis. A walk down Mason Avenue (6 blocks long) presents numerous shops and eateries as well as bakeries, an ice cream shop, candy store and beauty shops. Moonrise Jewelry is a nationally recognized jewelry boutique with jewelry made on site. The town now boasts the Cape Charles Brewing Co. and eatery, Cape Charles Distillery offering tastings and the Busky Cidery. There are 10 eateries with two being on the waters edge. Only 1.5 hours north is Chincoteague and the Assateague National Seashore where wild ponies (Misty of Chincoteague) roam. Assateague has an Atlantic Ocean beach. If you want to spend a day or two with day trips, the Virginia Beach ocean front is a little over 1 hour away with loads of shops and nightlife. Williamsburg and Busch Gardens are 80 miles and the Virginia Aquarium is about 70 minutes away. The historic District of Cape Charles runs inland 6 blocks from the beach and 6 blocks along the beach. Never crowded and family friendly, the town is also great for girls or guys getaways and romantic getaways.
